How to use
Upload one PDF

Start conversion
Click Convert to Markdown and wait for server-side processing.
Download the Markdown
Save the .md file and review headings and lists in your editor.

Approximate upload limit is about 100 MB per request.
Processing and privacy
Your PDF is posted over HTTPS to /api/converter/pdf-to-md and processed temporarily on Toolomix servers via Stirling-PDF, then returned as a download.
Toolomix does not publish a verified universal retention clock for every conversion. See the Privacy Policy for how uploads and logs are handled.

Troubleshooting
If conversion fails, confirm the file opens as a PDF locally, remove encryption, and keep the upload under ~100 MB.
If the Markdown is empty or unstructured, the PDF may be scan-only or lack clear text hierarchy—try a text-based source.

What endpoint converts my file?
The browser posts to /api/converter/pdf-to-md. Toolomix processes the PDF through Stirling-PDF and returns a Markdown download.
Does this run OCR on scanned pages?
No. There is no OCR. Image-only scanned PDFs usually produce weak or empty Markdown.
Will Markdown match the PDF layout?
Not always. Quality depends on extractable text structure. Complex layouts may need cleanup.
Can I unlock a password-protected PDF here?
No. There is no password field. Remove encryption before uploading.
What file do I download?
A .md Markdown file you can open in any text editor or docs tool.
Is there a size limit?
Uploads are limited to about 100 MB by server middleware. Larger files may be rejected.
Can I convert multiple PDFs in one request?
No. Upload one PDF per conversion.
