What this tool does
Sign PDF lets you add a drawn or typed visual signature onto a PDF page and download the updated file.
It is a client-side stamp workflow with pdf-lib—not certificate or PKCS#7 digital signing.
How to use
Open your PDF
Select a .pdf file so it can be previewed locally in the browser.
Create a signature
Draw with SignaturePad or type a text signature and choose a font style.
Position and finalize
Drag the stamp into place on the preview, finalize with pdf-lib, then download the PDF.
Supported inputs and output
Input: a PDF file opened in the browser for preview and editing. Output: a PDF with a visual signature image or text stamp embedded.
Password-protected or encrypted PDFs may not open in the pdf.js preview and therefore cannot complete this flow.
Processing and privacy
Signing runs in your browser using pdf-lib, SignaturePad, and pdf.js. The UI does not upload the PDF to a SignPdf server endpoint for this tool.
Do not assume the stamp is a cryptographically verified digital signature. Treat it as a visual mark you place yourself.

Troubleshooting
If the preview never appears, the file may be encrypted, corrupted, or unsupported by pdf.js—try an unlocked PDF.
If finalizing fails after placement, clear the signature, recreate it, and try again; keep the tab open until the download completes.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this a certificate-based digital signature?
No. It adds a visual drawn or typed signature stamp. It is not PKCS#7 / certificate cryptographic signing.
Is my PDF uploaded to Toolomix for signing?
No. This UI signs with pdf-lib in the browser. A Stirling SignPdf endpoint may exist elsewhere in the product, but this page does not call it.
Can I draw or type the signature?
Yes. Draw with SignaturePad, or enter text and pick a font style such as cursive, serif, sans-serif, or monospace.
Can I place the signature exactly where I want?
Yes. Drag the signature on the page preview before finalizing.
Is the result legally binding or cryptographically verified?
This tool only overlays a visual mark. Legal effect and verification depend on your context and requirements; it does not add a certificate signature that PDF readers validate as a digital signature.
Why won't my PDF load?
Encrypted or password-protected PDFs often fail in pdf.js. Try an unprotected copy, or unlock the file before using this tool.
What libraries does the page use?
