Conversion Tips
Check the allowlist first
Not every extension is accepted. Prefer common Office, OpenDocument, text, or image types listed on the page.
Allow extra time for larger files
Conversion can take up to about a minute depending on size and complexity.
Review the PDF after converting
Complex spreadsheets or presentations may need a quick check of layout and pagination.
Broad allowlisted formats
Handles many Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OpenDocument, text, HTML, and image types accepted by the server.
Single PDF output
One upload produces one .pdf download via Stirling-PDF.
General-purpose path
Use this when a dedicated converter for your format is not listed elsewhere on Toolomix.
What this tool does
File to PDF converts an allowlisted office, text, or image file into a portable PDF for sharing and archiving.
Use it as the general converter when your type is accepted but you do not need a specialized Toolomix tool.
How to use
Upload one file
Select or drag a supported document, spreadsheet, presentation, text, or image file.
Start conversion
Click Convert to PDF and allow time for server-side processing.
Download the PDF
Save the result and review layout before sharing.
Supported inputs and output
Input: one allowlisted file (common Office, OpenDocument, text, HTML, and image types). Output: one .pdf file.
Approximate upload limit is about 100 MB per request. Accepted types follow the server allowlist, not every format.
Common format families
Microsoft Office

Processing and privacy
Your file is posted over HTTPS to /api/converter/file-to-pdf and processed temporarily on Toolomix servers via Stirling-PDF, then returned as a download.
Toolomix does not publish a verified universal retention clock for every conversion. See the Privacy Policy for how uploads and logs are handled.
Limitations
Known limits
- Accepted types follow the server allowlist—not every format
- Single file per request—no batch conversion
- Complex layouts may not convert pixel-perfectly
- Larger files can take up to about a minute
- Uploads near or above ~100 MB may be rejected
Troubleshooting
If conversion fails, confirm the type is allowlisted, keep the upload under ~100 MB, and retry with a simpler export of the same document.
If the PDF looks wrong, open the source in its native app, simplify layout, and convert again.
